Got Scott from Chicago on his first reds..
I had Scott meet me early before the sun came up at 6:30 I had the yaks ready to roll. We did some paddling and walked the beach and was able to catch some jacks, lady fish and remoras. Paddled to another spot and walked and seen plenty of snook some in the 40 inch class we could get some to chase but they didn't want to commit. We hoped back in the kayak and worked the flats had a couple big reds explode on the spook but just couldn't get it in their mouth. I found an area where I seen some big reds and we got out waded the area and after working the area he got a lower slot red on the johnson gold spoon. Shortly after that he got a nice upper slot red fish on the spoon as well.. He was excited because this was his first red fish. I was happy he was able to get a quality size fish.. The tide ripped out pretty low and we found some more reds the tide was to low and they were pushing around in the thick turtle grass making it tuff to fish for them so we called it a day.
