We ran out on Friday night met at the boat at 9 at night and we puttered offshore all night till the next morning and started fishing at sunrise in 300 feet of water..  We were able to get a couple nice gags some nice big reds big scamps and a kitty Mitchell.  The big scamps were loving the butterfly jig!
We stopped at a wreck in at 160 feet and I was showing the boys how good the butterfly jigs work on the jacks..  Got a couple keepers in the box and had a good one on and had a jewfish eat him you could feel him smoke the big jack.  Nobody was getting the jacks on live bait so their was a rod rigged with 2 invisibles sinkers making it 6 ounces and got it down and bum every drop.
