I schedule for a late day because I wanted to take advantage of the low tide..  The tropical disturbance was kinda sitting right outside the gulf and actually got built up out there. Anyways the game plan was to target trout and try to have has much action as possible.  The conditions were ideal super calm and over cast and I knew the top water bite was going to be good.  Within in minutes of launching I was coaching them on how to work the top water and we already picked up a couple trout and Van ended up picking up a real healthy 24 inch trout. 
We worked the flat and they were having a good amount of blow ups.  We got to an area where I was seeing whitebait sitting right off the flat seen a couple nice snook sitting in the grass.  I decided it would be best to get out of the kayaks and wade the edge and it produced very successfully.  We had constant action from trout,jacks,lady fish,bluefish and a mackerel.  Little bit of everything exploding on the top water. 
We finished working the edge of the flat got back in the kayaks and went and worked another area. I was hoping their might be some tailing reds but they got some more aggressive trout and lady fish.  We then headed in as the sun was going down and I filleted up the trout they wanted for dinner.Thanks again guys! Were going to try and do some snook fishing towards the end of September..
