I seen Jeff Suber out at the Icast show in Orlando and he wanted to get out and some fishing so we meet up before sunrise on Friday..  It was Jeff Suber who is on the Wilderness Systems pro staff too hes out of the Panama city Apalachicola area and his buddy Chappy who is from Jacksonville..  We paddled to where I had a big school of reds we had a few serious blow up on top waters... Just couldn't get them to commit they had a boat on that was moving around pretty aggressively.. There was at least 15 manatees right in the area which was kinda crazy..  We kept moving and as I was coming around an Island I seen the bronze ball of reds they were all over the top water.  I yelled to Suber and told him to come around the point and wade we ended up getting on them good they would hump up for us and we got some big boys.  Chappy and I got a double header on nice big girls mine bottomed out a 15 Lb Boca put it on the other boca and it weighed 17 Lbs..  They were ripping the top water out of each others mouth always a cool visual! The big offshore size fish have showed up on the flats!!
we got over a half dozen big fish... We went and tried for snook they just weren't having it by the middle of the day.. It was hot so we called it a day fun morning with those guys!
