Gale wind trip #3 got my biggest rusty!

Thursday we got the boat all Iced up at Knockmans and ran a couple errands got everything ready and ran off  the beach and caught pins and grunts  and made our way offshore.  We started working about 150 ft and worked our way out to 200 ft over the next couple days.  I didn't get a ton of pictures because it was busy fishing.. I got some really nice scamps  8-10 Lb class on the butterfly Jig in the 160-200 of water first drop every stop out there and some big red grouper..  At about night matt woke me up off the bean bag to let the anchor rope go and told me get ready and drop down.  Whole mack to the bottom got smoked after a serious battle I got this big beast in the boat! 45 Lb rusty in the boat I was stoked that was a good fight and he crushed that whole B mack!  The next morning we got a couple more good fish after sunrise grabbed another pic of my big one and another 30 Lb fish.. Photobucket Photobucket
I had the International 50w out in between spot and could only get Bonita out there.  Photobucket
We got some really nice Red snapper some spots dead bait was out of the question they were so bad... The biggest I got was close to 20 Lbs this one was about 12... But Pretty!

The sharks  and the red snapper in the deep water are bad! We finished up in the ground the last day used some tricks that for sure increased our catch ratio by a ton...  Seen krill come right under the boat and drift through and right behind that we got a bonito and had a 15 Lb dolphin he was there and then gone.. I had him hooked up for a sec on a chicken right I had on... I pulled in the anchor on day 4 and got the internationals out and passed out.. Photobucket
Matt said he has never heard a reel get smoked that quick and we got spooled on a 50 W on the way back from the grounds...
We ended getting 1400 Lb of fish it was a good trip and learned a couple more tricks and got my biggest rusty..
