Carolyn Caught a Nice flounder!
Today I took out Carolyn Edds. She got the trip from the Ladies fishing tournament Silent auction that I donated a charter to.. We met up at 7 ish and headed down to where I have been on a good school of fish. Of course there already is someone there so we stayed close to the docks and I was able to locate a small one. I seen a couple good fish I kept having Carolyn work the zone we tried they just did not want to cooperate. The pet red fish that are usually a no brainer just were not having it. (Maybe it was the boat running his motor over the fish and not staying put!) Anyways went down and paddled some more. She ended up getting a nice trout. As we were working some docks I heard say Fish on! All excited I paddled over there and to my suprise it was a real nice flounder. It swallowed the Arkansas Glow CAL that I just rigged up for a couple minutes before. Snagged a couple picture and she was bummed because she didnt have anything to keep it with. I tied it on a stringer and we proceeded work the docks. We checked some Oyster bars that are usually loaded with reds there was no mullet. We worked around the areas and the reds didnt want cooperate and the wind started really kicking up. On the way in I hooked a mid 30s class snook that was able to rap the front hook around the leader and the hooks on the swimming image pulled out of her mouth. O well. We called it a day and she was very excited she caught her first good fish out of her kayak. She was also glad she caught something worth keeping that her and her sister can eat.

As Soon as I got in my car my buddy Captain Alex said I just loaded the well and can I pick you up at Dons dock. I ran into Delasos grabbed a couple slices of pizzas jumped on the boat and we ran the beach. Gregg the captain on the new Mega Yacht was into so he wanted me to put them on some fish. We caught a ton of mack's,short grouper and Gregg lost a trout next to the boat probably upper 20s pushing 30 inches. Ran into my buddy Tim and Donovan out there and they ended getting a nice 14 pound king. On the way back in while we were running fast in the Century I seen the little hidden treasure on the trap. I screamed and we turned around killed the motor grabbed a bait and we actually coast right over the trap and the Triple tail right under the boat he was probably around 15 Lbs the biggest I have seen! He was spooked. I am going to get one of those big guys!
