Thursday night Tony Lai and I headed down to Matlacha and my buddy JD from Venice met us down there.  We were lucky to stay down in my buddy Franks place.  Had to go down to Burts and watch the 80 year old mayor still dancing it up on the floor. 
Friday Morning we met at the boat ramp with David Mcleaf and we all paddled off.  We all caught a solid amount of reds.  I got 10 good mid to upper slot fish perfect tournament reds.  We found a big school of fish and caught a few and decided to leave them for Saturday.  They had the Captain's meeting at the sun and moon inn. Our team name was Team Accent paddles! 
Saturday the launch wasn't till 9 and everyone had to launch for the same area it was very interesting with all the kayaks taking off from one location like that. I heard  one guy broke a rod and im surprised no one didn't  roll over. It was pretty funny.  Anyways they give you 2 rulers and you had a 4 person  team.  So tony and I fished together and Dave and Jd fished together.  I was able to about 15 or so slot reds and 1 18 inch snook and a couple 16 inch trout.  At least we slammed out.  I found this school of reds in a different location then the day before.  Tony and I got out and waded on em and sight casted them and caught them for a couple hours the biggest I got was a 26 1/2 incher.  We had to leave the school because time was getting low and we had a far paddle back in brutal winds.  We tried for snook but the cold front moved them around.  Dave ended up getting a nice 22 inch trout.  We just struggled on the snook but it is always a good time down there.  Team Emotion won with an 82 inch slam  and young guns took second.  It was nice going down there and staying right there at Frank's place and able to fish with the guys and relax and have a good time.  We are all planning on getting down there in December and loading up the house boat and anchoring of the boat and fish in the kayaks for a couple days.  I hope we can all get together and do it.
