Today one of my good friends Jimmy Kubek wanted me to go out with the crew of the new TV show One moore Catch hosting Dave Moore and Jimmy's  father in law Robert Gomes http://onemoorecatch.com/main/ .
We all met up at Dave's house and jumped on his Yellowfin with trips on it.  One the boat was 2 camera man, Jimmy,his buddy John, Robert, Dave and Myself.  We cruised down the beach and dove down checked out some artificial reefs Jimmy and Dave ended up  and Spearing a bunch of mangrove Snapper and Sheepshead.  I was one back of the boat and I spotted to 2 large fish on top of the water I thought it was either big reds or big Cobia.   I told Jimmy to go and check it out and He seen to Big Cobia one that was close to 90 Lbs and one about 40 Lbs.  He said they were the biggest cobia he has ever seen.  We soon headed back to the dock and got everything cleaned up.  I talked to Dave and we are going to try to hook up and get out sometime.

On the way back I was cruising over the John's pass Bridge so I decided to swing by and talk with my buddy Dane Karcher and his brother Nole who run Charters out of Don's Dock http://www.gulfbeachesfishing.com/ .
their was a crew of us out there help catching pin fish on small hooks with shrimp on them for their offshore trip they had the next day.   We noticed some stone crabs in the rocks so Nole and Skip Miller Jumped in the water with snorkels on and almost filled up a up a bucket with crabs.  The sifted through  the legals and shorts.  They were ready to get some so Skip and Nole and I took the Sea vee.  They jumped in the water and I kept the boat in gear and we they were able to get some more.  Fresh Stone crabs it don't get much better than that.
