Wilderness Systems Photo Shoot in Sanibel
Today Todd and I from the Wildy kayak fishing team got up super early and (4:30) and met up and made the drive down to Port Sanibel Marina. Chris Hessman from Wilderness was running the shoot and we had 2 camera man and a captain driving their boat along with us... So we threw in the yaks out of the Marina as the sun was coming out and paddled along the mangroves and working them with the spook. Working it in one cove right off the bat we both raised some big reds on the spook but the didn't want to commit and they needed up to keep moving. We got a bunch of variety of shots caught some small fish and we got towed back in to the Marina. Going into Sanibel island it was $6.00 every time I couldn't believe that. We went to the Hotel were he put us up at dropped our stuff. We explored the island checking out some beach areas and Ding Darling Park and down Tarpon Bay road. Walked the beach behind us and seen a few dead mullet on the beach a touch of red tide somewhere out there.
We met back at the Marina loaded up a pontoon boat with yaks and they had the photo boat as well. We hung around a island around Pine Island sound and got a bunch of pictures in different boats. We caught a bunch of lady's and smaller trout. After the sun went down we scrabbled around with the no-see-ums getting us and puttered back to the Marina.
